Historic buildings hold a really special place in my heart, especially old train stations. My aesthetic has always been vintage-esque, and nearly three years ago, Lou and I got married in an old train station here in Youngstown, Ohio (The B & O Station). So from the second Kristina told me that her and Ryan were getting married at DiSalvo's Station in Latrobe, PA, I was sold and swooning and I thought my heart was going to explode. Kristina, Ryan and I have bonded over A LOT of things (our dogs, gold glitter, The Walking Dead...) but this really sealed the deal on our friendship :P I seriously couldn't wait to see her wedding plans come to life and watch the special moment that they became husband and wife. As I stood there, photographing the ceremony, I couldn't help but pan the room and see just how many people were wiping away tears of joy. To be so lucky to be in a room and feel that kind of happiness and energy is so special.

We started off our day at SpringHill Suites in Latrobe. Just as I imagined, the vibe was super chill. All of the girls were done with hair/makeup and hanging out, eating lunch so I got to work on all of Kristina's beautiful details. The same vibes were happening in the guy's hotel room while Christie photographed Ryan's details.

The day consisted of three, count them, three First Looks. If you know me, you know First Looks are my fave. Three of them had me full of emotions! The first was with the Bridesmaids, the second was with Kristina's dad and the last was with Ryan. We spent a good part of our afternoon at Arnold Palmer's Latrobe Country Club. The views were spectacular, as you could imagine, with the rolling hills, beautiful, tree-lined paths and three adorable little covered bridges.

We wrapped up the rest of the day at the train station, where the ceremony took place in front of a train car in the reception hall, followed by a big ole' party! Kristina and Ryan wanted their wedding to be personal, and it most certainly was. Through the tunnel was a series of tables telling their story, from tons of photos to love notes framed and on display. As I mentioned these two are as obsessed with their dogs as I am with mine. Their pups couldn't physically be there, but they definitely had their presence felt with framed photos at each table as centerpieces, specialty drinks named after the dogs accompanied by an illustrated sign at the bar, and even a special gift from two of their friends, who painted and framed drawings of the two dogs as a wedding gift. Ryan even gave Kristina custom socks with their dog's faces on them as a wedding gift. Yes, I'm completely obsessed :P
