Logan | First Birthday
The older I get, the more I think of how rare it is to maintain a friendship with someone you met when you were in Kindergarten. But I also think of how lucky I am to still have quite a few friendships from back then. I guess that's a perk of growing up in a small town. I will say that the first person I met in Kindergarten was my friend Bobbi. While I was balling my eyes out because my parents left me at this strange new place, she was there to tell me it was okay. Fast forward to about 23 years, she stood by my side at my wedding and for every step in the process. The following year, I ecstatically drove to the hospital after she gave birth to her little man. And here we are, ready to celebrate his first birthday! I can't believe how fast the time goes, and how big this boy has gotten. It seems like yesterday I was sitting in that hospital, holding this precious boy and thinking how proud I am of his mama and daddy. I also remember thinking, man this is a cute baby, they better watch out for when he gets older! He's going to be a total ladies man ;]
We spent the year going for walks in Mill Creek Park and having fun photoshoots with the awesome creations our friend Dawn (of Knotty Dawn) made. Our first shoot was for Logan's newborn session as a little fisherman AND a cowboy.
Dawn also made an ABSOLUTELY adorable Batman costume! We enjoyed the sunshine and warm weather this day at Pioneer Pavilion in Mill Creek Park.
When Fall rolled around, we got to shoot Logan's first family pictures at Yellow Creek Park in Struthers, Ohio. We just HAD to play in some leaves while we were there ;]
Now his first birthday is this month. It's been so cool watching this little man accomplish all of his "new to the world firsts". Happy Birthday Logan!! :]
