2017 Weddings - Behind the Scenes
Everyone has seen beautiful wedding photos, right? Sometimes those beautiful and perfect moments are all you see. There's A LOT that goes on behind the scenes that most people don't see or even know about. As a wedding photographer, I am pretty much there for the entirety of the day. I see a lot of crazy things along with the super special moments. Then there are the ridiculous things we do as photographers to get those beautiful shots. On more than one occasion I've been looked at very strangely for doing something very odd. It's cool though, I have no shame :P So to bring you along for the ride, here are some of my favorite behind the scenes shots from this wedding season!
From photobombs to silly antics, I get to share so many laughs with my couples, their bridal party and guests. And trust me, these ridiculous photos break up the monotony of editing thousands of photos! I get a lot of good laughs when I'm going through wedding day photos, so thanks for that my friends.
Also, dogs. If there is one around me, I will stop to photograph and pet it. Just saying. Puppy pictures are my favorite. Also a favorite, Groom photobombs.
When the mothers of the bride and groom turn into woo girls. This might've been my favorite part of that day hah!
If my husband and my best friends are at your wedding, this probably goes without saying, but expect these types of photos in your final wedding collection.
Jessica was all over the BTS shots this season. Thanks boo! She caught me doin my thang a lot.
...even during full on flower girl melt downs. It was kind of heartbreaking and kind of adorable because she ultimately just slowly wandered around with her bag of cookies while we did our shooting.
From fancy marble buildings to parking lots. Like I said, no shame. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
Christie shot my favorite and probably most accurate BTS shot of the season. This is 100 percent true life for every wedding. Taking photos and adjusting wedding gowns since 2008.
I got stuck in a rose bush right before this photo.
Also highly encouraged at every wedding - photo booths.
Can you spot the floating head below?
When you realize that your husband will never be your assistant again.
...but then he carries your floral camera bag around in public and you forgive him for interrupting your shots.
I see you Andy.
Light tests are vital. But they're only this adorable when you're shooting with Amanda.
Phone selfie game on point.
And even better when running into friends while shooting at the same venue!
There were sooooo many other behind the scenes videos floating around the Instagram world this season. If you like seeing this stuff, make sure you follow me on Insta for these shenanigans in real time.
