Courtney and Andy's Laid Back Fall Engagement Session at Pioneer Pavilion and Lake Glacier in Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio
In my profession, I get to know so many couples. I love seeing how different each couple is and how each couple interacts. But one thing that I notice time and time again is just how much they enjoy each other’s company. Every one of my couples genuinely loves being together. Courtney and Andy are no exception. They smiled and laughed literally the entire session. I could tell right away just how well their personalities and their sense of humor meshed. Seeing that kind of joy is why I love to do what I do! These two have it in spades and made my job suuuuper easy!
We spent a warm Fall evening in Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio, starting at Pioneer Pavilion and finishing up at Lake Glacier. There was still a lot of green on the trees, but Fall was starting to peek through. We got the best of both worlds! I also have to talk about how they totally nailed their styling for their session! Courtney’s champagne skirt with nude heels paired with Andy’s wine colored pants, brown shoes, blazer and subtle print on his button up shirt complimented the scenery perfectly! Whether we were surrounded by greenery or the gorgeous stonework at Pioneer Pavilion, they totally looked like rock stars. Not to mention their deep and earthy Fall tones for their second outfit. They got all of the Fall colors wrapped up in two different looks.
I’m not sure if it was the awkward first meeting or quickly integrating into each other’s families, but Courtney and Andy knew how well they clicked and how special their relationship was very early on. As time went on, Andy knew he wanted to propose to Courtney in California, where he was born. It was such an important part of who he was and he wanted to share that special part of himself with her. So they took a trip out west and Andy proposed in Laguna Beach on Top of the World, with the gorgeous cityscape and ocean in the background! Talk about romantic!
And now, they’re preparing for their late summer wedding next August! They described the day as romantic and intimate with a touch of vintage (ummm, yes please!). The color palette is mostly neutral, with pops of color in the floral arrangements - think pinks, purples, yellows and oranges! All of that will be so fitting at The Vineyards at Pine Lake in Columbiana, Ohio and I can’t wait to see it all come together! Of course, Courtney and Andy can’t wait to get married, but I’ve also heard a whole lot about some great dancing that’ll take place. I think it’s safe to say we’re all excited for that! ;]
