Learn About Wedding Album Cover Options and Boutique Bags
If you've been following along this month, I've been talking about wedding albums. They're my number one seller as far as products go and there's a whole lot that goes into making an album. If you're investing money in something, I want you to have the absolute best of that something. This is especially true when it comes to wedding albums because they are your first family heirloom! This is a statement piece you're going to be showing your kids, grandkids, other family and your friends. So I definitely want them to be everything you want in an album.
So today we're going to dive in a little deeper. Honestly, after you pick your favorite photos, the hardest part is out of the way! The next step is to choose your album cover materials, layout, paper options and a boutique bag to match. In the video below, I show you the different options and what materials work well together. After the video, make sure you check out the images below that show all of the different options. And make sure you save this blog so you can reference it when it's time to make your own wedding album!
There are three different layouts to choose from when it comes to your wedding album cover, the custom photo cover, a material cover (fabric or leather), or the combo cover which combines the two previous options. There are a good variety of material options to choose from that sometimes you might feel a bit overwhelmed. A timeless option is to choose a neutral colored leather or faux leather. They essentially work for any wedding. If you want to conceptualize your cover a little further, I highly recommend thinking about your wedding colors, details and vibe and choosing a cover option that fits. It's a nice way to tie your wedding photos and what's on the inside of the album to the outside. I personally lean towards the leather covers and combo covers. Here are all of the material options for the album covers:

From there, you can choose a boutique bag to match your cover. Sometimes it's hard to tell if the two will match, so below are photos of pairings that I think look great together. You can choose from linen or satin for your material. Some of the bags have different options for closures, from a satin ribbon to a button loop to a bow. I prefer the satin ribbon visually, but if you want to close your bag with no fuss, the button loop and bow are easier and quicker.

The last point I touch on in the video is paper options for the inside of your album. The luster print is a satin finish, just like the proof images I give you with your engagement and wedding collection. It's basically the classic choice and works well for all weddings. The other option is a watercolor paper. This paper is textured and gives the photos more of a matte finish with a fine art touch. Images and weddings with deeper, richer tones look great on this paper. Below is a close up sample of the watercolor paper so you can see the texture.
