Paige and Cale's Formal Winter Engagement Session at The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio
From the second I met Paige, I knew we'd get along well! She has a sophisticated style and we share a love for great wine, so it was super easy to fall in love with her wedding plans and the two of them as a couple! I'm definitely an old soul and love anything classic and vintage. I think I'll get all of those things from Paige and Cale's 1920s glam wedding vibes. There will be ivory, midnight blue, burgundy and gold hues, flowers and lots of candlelight, not to mention the hint of ostrich feathers to really tie everything together and put that little extra wow factor in the details.
One of the things I love about these two is that they're not afraid to go all out. I mean, Cale surprised Paige with a trip to Sonoma and proposed at Chateau St. Jean under a blooming magnolia tree that overlooked the vineyards. Can you say swoonworthy?! That sounds like a scene from a movie, right? Clearly he has charm, which is one of the things that attracted Paige to him.
When Paige started telling me their engagement session ideas, I knew it was going to be a lot of fun and very much them as a couple. There's just such a timeless appeal when I think about an engaged couple during the winter in a gorgeous black dress and suit and tie. I told you they had style! Their outfits were spot on. The Butler Institute of American Art seemed like the perfect backdrop for this session, visually. It also seemed fitting from a personal standpoint since Paige and Cale's first date was at an art museum, The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh. We admired some cool artwork and chatted our way around the museum. We finished up our session in a more intimate setting in Youngstown, away from the crowd of people, for some champagne poppin'! They were so incredible during their entire session so they definitely earned it. Plus, being engaged is something to celebrate!
Getting to know the both of them a little better and spending some time with them makes me even more excited for their Youngstown wedding in August! I've been told how much of a celebration and dance party it's going to be, and I'm ALL about a good dance party any day of the week. Paige and Cale can't wait to spend time with their friends and family, and, of course, dancing the night away. To say this will be one big party might be an understatement. All I know is that it's going to be a good one!
