Becoming a Mae B Photo Bride
Working with couples is the type of thing that seriously makes my heart flutter. Even more than that, I love the relationships I build with each and every one of my brides. Let's be real, I'm spending a whole lot of time with you - more so than any other wedding vendor does. We'll get to know each other throughout the process and I'll be there to help you with wedding details, vendor referrals or just as a friend giving you advice on color palettes or shoe styles.
Time with my brides on their wedding day is such a special and personal experience. Picture this - it's your wedding day and you're relaxing with your best friends - complete with matching robes, champagne drinks and a special music playlist that has you over the moon excited to become a Mrs. You're surrounded by wedding details that you hold close to your heart. It's your wedding dress. It's your great grandma's pearls that your mom is gently placing around your neck. It's that sweet token attached to your bouquet that serves as a reminder that your loved ones are there, even if they're not physically with you. It's the story of you, all being documented in its truest form on the happiest day of your life. This is YOUR personalized experience, and that experience is the most important to me. That is what being a #maebphotobride is all about!
I'm that kinda photographer that is totally down to meet with you over coffee, ice cream or a glass of wine and just chat about life and wedding plans. I do this a lot with my brides because girl hangs are my fave. It's also another important part in getting to know each other, which really makes a big difference when it comes to being relaxed and comfortable on your wedding day. I won't just be some random person showing up to work at your wedding, and that level of familiarity and comfortability will show in photos. Trust me.
When you're planning a wedding, it seems like everyone in the world has an opinion (#amiright). Sometimes you just really need someone to listen and someone who just gets it. Being married myself, I've been in those shoes, but I've also shot dozens of weddings. I know what makes the day flow seamlessly and I know what photographs well. Trust me when I say that I'll never try and make you do something you don't want to, but I will also be up front and truthful with you when something just isn't going to work. Why? Because it all comes back to your wedding experience. I want you to have the best day ever. Truly. I also want it to be as stress-free as possible, and if something isn't going to work, I don't want you to find this out on your wedding day. Ya dig?
Just know that when you become a Mae B Photo bride, you're not just becoming another number on a list of weddings. You're becoming a friend. You're joining the Mae B Photo family, so be prepared for silly Christmas cards (usually involving my dogs and some type of costume) and random love notes :P
It all starts with a conversation.
