Meaghan and Jon's Fall Micro-Wedding | Saint Edwards | Youngstown, Ohio
I can’t believe this is my last wedding blog of the year. If I’m being quite honest, I didn’t know if this wedding was going to happen because of Covid. Two weeks before Meaghan and Jon’s wedding, state restrictions came back in full force, leaving them to make some difficult decisions in a matter of days. Their wedding was scaled back quite a bit. Their venue was changed. But you know what didn’t change? The outpouring of love for these two. It was felt in person and virtually. I am so sad that some very important people in Meaghan and Jon’s lives couldn’t physically be present on this day, but I feel even more honored to share these photos with you all. The day turned out to be an incredible one.
I started my day at The Holiday Inn in Boardman, Ohio. My dear friends, Bianca and Amanda, from Roots Salon and Wellness Spa were working their magic with hair and makeup while I photographed all of Meaghan’s gorgeous details. Fun fact, their original wedding day was in June of this year, so Meaghan brought along ALL of their stationery for me to photograph. And by all of their stationery, I mean two sets of wedding invitations and two sets of save the dates. You can’t help but laugh at the ridiculousness of it all.
While the girls prepared for the day, Jon and his Best Man, Zack, got ready in Jon and Meaghan’s home. Their adorable basset hound, Nellie, hung out with the guys. She even had her own special collar for the day! She got to show it off in photos when Jon and Meaghan had their first look. If you have a pet that you want to be in photos, I 10/10 recommend having a first look at your home so they can be a. part of the day, too.
We took advantage of some cool locations in downtown Youngstown for photos, including the Butler and the newly renovated Phelps Street. After their ceremony at Saint Edwards, we wrapped up the evening at Michael Alberini’s for dinner. It was the perfect ending to this wedding day, and my wedding season. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Carroll!!
