Backyard weddings??? I’m here for them!!! Especially when the wedding is one of my family members. When my cousin, Elaine, contacted me last year about her springtime wedding, I was so excited to have her wedding date open and honored to get the chance to photograph this wedding. The goal was to keep things simple, which really made for a relaxed day. She got ready at her mother’s home, with her children and her mom by her side. While the getting ready portion wasn’t high on her list of important shots, there was one specific photo Elaine asked for that might be one of my favorite photos of the whole day…
Read MoreI can’t believe this is my last wedding blog of the year. If I’m being quite honest, I didn’t know if this wedding was going to happen because of Covid. Two weeks before Meaghan and Jon’s wedding, state restrictions came back in full force, leaving them to make some difficult decisions in a matter of days. Their wedding was scaled back quite a bit. Their venue was changed. But you know what didn’t change? The outpouring of love for these two. It was felt in person and virtually. I am so sad that some very important people in Meaghan and Jon’s lives couldn’t physically be present on this day, but I feel even more honored to share these photos with you all. The day turned out to be an incredible one….

We’ve kept in touch throughout the years thanks to social media, but I really don’t think I had seen her since graduating, which was over ten years ago (yikes!). So when Marissa and Anthony got engaged, I was so over the moon happy for them. And when Marissa asked me to be her wedding photographer, I was really really over the moon happy!…

To me, that’s what weddings are all about anyway, so it’s nice to be in the realm of smaller weddings. Jillian and Josh contacted me a few months ago and threw this intimate day together rather quickly (props, my friends!). It was such a lovely day with beautiful weather, tons of scenic views to take in at Running Horse Farm in Geneva, Ohio, and a naturally gorgeous ceremony and reception space that truly called for the “less is more” approach. So really, the day worked out perfectly!…
