Mill Creek Park Engagement Session | Kristina & Ryan

It may be the week before Thanksgiving, but I'm dreaming of beautiful summer light and warmth as I am writing this blog. That's when Kristina and Ryan made the hour drive to good ole' Youngstown, Ohio to have their e-sesh with me at Mill Creek Park. Lucky me! I got to laugh and joke with these two fun loving people for a couple of hours and it was a total blast.

These two first contacted me at the beginning of the year after finding me online. Within the first few emails, I knew I liked them a whole lot. I mean, when the emails went from talking about wedding details to sharing pictures of our pups, I knew we were going to be friends. She totally had me at "crazy dog parents" because we all know Lou and I are crazy about our two wrinkle pups. The day I met Kristina was no different - we chatted for HOURS over coffee and donuts and she had me hooked - I couldn't wait to work with them!

These two met online (heyyyyyy, Lou and I did too). They went for sushi and a movie on their first date. I remember Kristina saying that she had to pee so bad that she literally almost ran into Ryan's truck running passed him and into the mall, all while yelling, "Hi, I have to pee! I'll meet you in there!" She didn't know if she had scared him off by that, but obviously she didn't :P

When Ryan proposed to Kristina, he had a little plan. While she was at work, he got busy setting up notes all throughout the house, leading to the bedroom. Once Kristina got home, dirty scrubs, messy hair, no makeup and all, she followed the notes to the bedroom, where Ryan and the dogs were waiting for her. That's when he proposed and Kristina said it was still the most perfect moment, despite how messy and exhausted she was after her first week as an RN.

Kristina and Ryan will be tying the not next September at DiSalvos Station in Latrobe, PA. This venue is the former Pennsylvania Railroad Station. Ya'll that know me REAL well know I got married here in Youngstown at The B & O Station (what's up Monopoly lovers). I have a fondness for historic buildings and old train stations, so you can imagine my level of excitement for this wedding with THESE TWO. The venue couldn't be more unique and perfect for them. When I asked them what the theme to their wedding was, they said, "Us." They want every detail to reflect them as a couple and what's important to them. Ummm. Hell yes to planning a super personal wedding because those are my favorite! The decor will be modern, sparkly and classy with navy blue, gold, ivory and a touch of pale pink. Did I mention glitter? Because Kristina has stressed how much she loves gold glitter and sparkle and I am obsessed! I can't wait to see how it all comes together! Aside from the fact that they'll be married, Kristina is most looking forward to celebrating their love with their friends and family. Ryan said he's most looking forward to, and I quote, "looking into her eyes and knowing I'm going to be hers for the rest of our lives." *cue the awes*
