Meghan & Jarrett's Fairy Tale Wedding at Drake's Landing in Youngstown, Ohio
Meghan and Jarrett had a fairy tale themed wedding complete with a big ballgown, a gorgeous princess and a handsome prince who were so emphatically in love with each other that they were just BEAMING the entire day! I started the day in Niles with the girls. The entire day was calling for rain, so we were all pretty happy when we saw sunshine for a good portion of the day. The girls were absolutely adorable in their brightly colored robes and "bridesmaid" tank tops that Meghan got for them. All of the little details of the girls outfits were just to die for, and completely complimented the theme of the day! Topping it off, Meghan wore a STUNNING ball gown with just enough beading and bling. She also had an incredibly long veil that I had SOOOOO much fun playing with and a beautiful cascading bouquet from Albie's Floral in Niles, Ohio.
While I was having a blast with the girls, Christie got to hang out with the guys. They looked awfully slick in their navy tuxes from Rondinelli Tuxedo Company. I don't know about ya'll, but this has been the summer for navy tuxes, and I'm LOVING it!! Since a few of the guys play volleyball together, they had to get out the volleyball and get some practice in, all while looking dapper :P
Their ceremony took place at Saint Stephen's church in Niles. Before the ceremony, Jarrett had one of his groomsmen deliver a special letter to Meghan. Her reaction was so special. Afterwards, they took a few minutes to say a prayer before their ceremony. They didn't want to see each other, so they stood around a corner and held hands. I could see how emotional and excited they were, and I couldn't blame them since they were about an hour away from calling each other husband and wife.
Their ceremony was very sweet, and there were tons of people in the church that day to celebrate their union!
Finally, they were husband and wife!!!! We took a quick trip across the street to the Niles Mckinley Memorial Library. The tall pillars and neutral color palate looked so lovely with the navy tuxes and yellow dresses.
At this point, the rain couldn't hold off any longer, and we were racing the clouds to Mill Creek Park to finish portraits of the newlyweds. Fortunately, I came fully equipped with a trunk full of umbrellas and an adorable bubble umbrella for the bride and groom. We shot quickly and the rain just couldn't wait any longer. It was definitely telling us it was time to go party!
I had an absolute blast photographing their wedding reception! Seriously, I don't think I've seen so many great dance moves at a wedding! Especially from Jarrett's dad!! :P The night wrapped up with a special dance to a Backstreet Boys song (YESSSSSS) from the Bride Squad. As if I didn't already love them enough, they totally had me at 90s music dance off :P
This wedding was truly special. It was one of those days where literally nothing else mattered but the celebration of these two beautiful people who are so deeply in love. That's it. Not the insane humidity and thunderstorms. Not the color of the dresses or what the head table looked like. It was so much about these two families coming together that it seriously made me tear up while editing these photos! I just adore these families and am so glad that Meghan and Jarrett had the wedding of their dreams!
