These two had me hook, line and sinker from the very first video chat we had. And I have to tell you, all of the time I’ve spent with Raymond and John has been absolutely delightful. Their wedding day made me feel like I was just hanging out with a group of my friends. Those kind of wedding days are the best! It was emotional, joyful, slightly naughty and an absolute blast. I’d do it all again if I could!
We spent a majority of our day at the DoubleTree in downtown Youngstown, Ohio. This is definitely my favorite hotel in the city! It has a beautiful, clean color palette and TONS of natural light (my dream come true). Plus, the L shaped ceremony/reception space is a unique touch! I love spaces and designs that are less than traditional, and everything about this wedding certainly was. I was in heaven!
After an emotional ceremony, we made another stop at Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park to take family photos. I 10/10 recommend outdoor family formals on wedding days. Seriously, it’s the best.
We wrapped up our night back at the DoubleTree to catch an incredible sunset during dinner. I would say it doesn’t get any better than that, but IT DID. Midway through the reception, Ray and John had their own personal drag show by the talented Denise Russell. It was everything. Side note - I’ll take more queens at wedding receptions thank you.
