Sarah & Randy's Personal, Fall Engagement Session at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio
I'm not going to lie, I love when old friends come back in my life randomly. I hadn't seen my friend Chelsea in years, but when she connected me to Sarah and Randy, I knew I was going to like them. Then I met them and their adorable son in person and my adoration for their little family started to grow like crazy! They're such fun, bright, kind souls. (Chelsea, I owe you, boo!)
We planned out an e-sesh for the Fall and totally lucked out with a really warm, sunny, beautiful November day after it had been chilly and wet for weeks. It was a perfect day to be at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio! Both Sarah and Randy wanted little Randall to be a part of their session. They said that they really want him as involved in their wedding process as possible, which totally melts my heart. I know they're going to be so glad they're involving him so much because years down the line, when Randall is a little older, they'll be able to not only talk with him about how much he means to them but actually SHOW him through their engagement and wedding day photos. They'll also be able to show him how big of a ham he was and how absolutely adorable his many facial expressions were :P
Sarah and Randy met each other a few years ago through a mutual friend. They were both out for karaoke at O'Donald's in Youngstown. After that night, Sarah decided to make the first move and text Randy to see if he wanted to hang out. They spent some time in Mill Creek Park, wandering around. I'm telling you, magical things can happen at Mill Creek Park! There's some type of romantic fairy dust floating around in the air when you're out in nature. There has to be. I know I can't be the only one who thinks this :P Regardless, they ended up having their official first date at the movies, where Sarah picked Dracula Untold and Randy totally thought she was trying to impress him ;] Sarah said she is most attracted to Randy's confidence and how he has a good head on his shoulders. Randy is most attracted to Sarah's fearlessness and how she isn't afraid to try new things. He also loves how she is totally cool with being a tomboy, whether that means playing video games with him or having him teach her how to change her breaks. What I really think he means is she's a total badass :P
Randy planned out the proposal for when they went on vacation to Sunset Beach, North Carolina with some of Sarah's family. They were driving near the beach and Randy told Sarah that he wanted to stop and take some photos on the beach. They were about finished and Sarah's mom walked over to scoop up little Randall, when Randy stopped her and asked for one more photo because he wanted to do "one more pose". From there, he got down on one knee and proposed and Sarah was totally surprised. She said she even ended up falling to her knees because she was overwhelmed with so much emotion! *cue the awe's*
Sarah and Randy will be tying the knot in September of this year. They really want a carefree vibe, where family and friends can just relax, have fun and celebrate! Their colors are amethyst and champagne and will match so beautifully with the romantic ivy and tea light centerpieces. Sarah looks forward to just having fun with Randy and their guests. Randy's most looking forward to seeing Sarah in her dress for the first time as she walks down the aisle. He thinks she will cry and smile the entire way down, and that's the moment he truly can't wait for!
