Allie's Lifestyle Maternity Session in Cleveland, Ohio
Since my beautiful friend had her baby boy last week, this week's blog is dedicated to her! I've known Allie for most of my life. We grew up together and her family is basically my family, too. I remember crying when she told me she was pregnant. Like, sobbing. We've had soooo many pregnancy and baby talks and I just couldn't believe my little sis was finally having a baby. Her first baby, well, human baby (she has two adorable frenchie's). Her and Michael's lives were changing in the most beautiful way, and I am so happy they wanted to preserve that season of their lives through photographs.
Natural light is my fave and when Al told me how great the light was in her house, I knew we had to take advantage of it. Plus, she wanted her pups to be part of her maternity session so it was a no brainer. I love lifestyle sessions but especially for a maternity shoot. So much is changing and there are so many new things in a house that tell the story. To add a personal touch, my bff Danielle (Allie's sister) brought little love notes for Al to read. She asked friends and family to share some advice or a special quote for Allie and Michael and then hand designed each one so that they can be on display in Al and Michael's home.
We wrapped up our session outside (Allie, you're a brave girl for taking on the cold!) A baby bump is magical, but it's even better when it's paired that with bright white snow and the sun's golden light. And now, that cute baby bump is gone because sweet Rowan is here!! Congrats Allie and Michael! I'm so proud of you guys!!
