Danielle and Craig's Fall Apple Orchard Engagement Session at Hartford Apple Orchard in Hartford, Ohio
There are some people that pop in and out of your life at random times. It doesn’t matter how much time goes by in between, you’ll just always have a friendship with those people. Danielle is one of those people for me. We met what seems like a million years ago and when I found out she was getting married, my heart was seriously exploding with happiness for her. Then when I found out she wanted ME to be her photographer, I felt so incredibly honored. I just couldn’t wait to meet Craig and get their engagement session going!
We had the most incredible Fall evening for their shoot with that beautiful golden light shining through the warm colored leaves on the trees. It just smelled like Fall, too, which is my favorite! We started our evening in Kinsman, Ohio and wrapped up our session at Hartford Apple Orchard in Hartford, Ohio. We spent a lot of time chatting and I loved seeing how Craig and Danielle interact with each other. They’re not just wildly in love with each other, but I could tell they are best friends. I’m so glad I got to know Craig, too! I can tell that their personalities balance each other out - they’re definitely each other’s person.
Before our session, I didn’t realize just how long Danielle and Craig have known each other. They went to the same high school and have known each other’s families forever. They also coached together (yet another reason why they’re meant to be :P). Beyond that, they’ve been friends for a long time and one day they just realized it was more than just a friendship. They talked about getting married and Danielle even picked out her ring, but Craig had waited a few months to plan the perfect proposal for her. He took her to Cleveland for a day of all of her favorite places and Danielle just knew the proposal was going to happen. Though, anytime she thought it would, it didn’t. Craig did end up picking a moment where she least expected it, got down on one knee and asked. Maybe it wasn’t exactly how he had planned, but it was perfect for them.
I’m looking forward to their wedding next Fall, with colonial blue, deep reds, golds, whites and all of the best Fall things like hot apple cider, lanterns and greenery for decor, caramel apples, a bon fire by the lake and all of the beautiful outdoor vibes Shangri-La Event Center has to offer!
