Emily and Karl's Fall Jewel Toned Country Club Wedding at Southpointe Golf Club in Canonsburg, PA
It may be Thanksgiving today, but I just had to get this blog up from Emily and Karl’s wedding at Southepointe Golf Club just outside of Pittsburgh, PA in Canonsburg. Every single day I’m thankful to have a career and a business that I absolutely love, and it’s because of people like Emily and Karl! But today, I’m extra grateful for, not only my clients, but for you. If you are reading this right now, if you’ve ever shared my name to someone searching for a photographer, if you’ve ever read a single post of mine, if you follow along with my work on social media, if you’ve shared my photos and even just glanced at a single picture I’ve ever taken - you allow me to continue to create artwork and continue to leave physical proof of monumental moments like this wedding day. For that, I’m forever thankful, not just today but every single day.
The first time I met Emily to talk about her wedding, I think we spent most of the time talking about our families. I was pregnant with Atlas at the time and I could see the glow in her eye as she talked about her son, soon to be husband and their precious dog. I could see how family oriented she is and it really spoke to me because I’m the same way! I knew from that moment that their marriage wasn’t necessarily a new chapter in their lives, but a celebration of the relationship and family they’ve already started. And that’s exactly what their wedding day was, a celebration!
There’s just something about the fall and deep, jewel toned colors that makes me so happy. Seeing all of Emily’s decor choices come together was great. It was simple and very elegant, which complimented the venue beautifully. Emily wasn’t the only one who made excellent choices, as Karl wore a standout blue suit to match his colorful personality. I love love love when grooms play a big part in choosing their wedding day attire! Let me tell you, not everyone can wear a bright blue suit, but I can’t see Karl in any other color. It was a perfect compliment to Emily’s timeless ivory gown!
We spent the afternoon cruising around the golf course for photos and kicked off the evening outside for a beautiful and emotional ceremony. Then the party began! There was tons of dancing, great food, a cookie room (yassss) and a cigar bar on the patio. It really was a spectacular day. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Skrypak!! xo
