Seven years ago on this day, Meat and Sophie were born. I remember going to see them and the rest of their litter and just being so in love with every single wrinkle on their bodies. A few weeks after they were born, Lou sent me to pick out which pup we were going to adopt. I immediately fell in love with Soph and Lou was obsessed with Meat. I distinctly remember sending him tons of pictures of them and then deciding that we would take Meat because he really wanted him. Then Lou said, well let’s adopt them both, and my heart exploded. Ironically, it turns out that they were best friends in their litter - always cuddling and being close together. It’s like they knew, or we knew, or maybe we were all just meant to be a family together….
Read MoreYesterday, I thought about how Meat and Sophie were turning six and the idea crossed into my mind that maybe shouldn't have been there. I thought that since they were getting older, maybe Meat is finally mature enough to not eat the remote if we left it on the coffee table while we were gone. Wrong. So wrong. It wasn't the remote, but while Lou and I were grocery shopping, Meat decided to teach us a lesson. We accidentally left a box of tissues on the end table. Ughhhh. The box and all of the tissues were destroyed all over the floor. That's when I decided that tearing up a box of tissues was Meat's birthday present this year. I'm sure he had fun *insert a million eye rolling emojis here*...
Read MoreIt's no shocker that I like to take photos of my dogs... ALL THE TIME. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you see their faces quite frequently in my feed and Insta story. Every year it's becoming a tradition to dress them up for Halloween and Christmas. It might be because I love the holidays, or because busy season is slowing down and I need to find a way to spend my time, but it's always a big deal in the Kopachy house...
Read MoreIf you follow me on social media, you may have seen that my sweet, wrinkly puppies turned five on Tuesday. Since Lou and I don't have any kiddos yet, these two have been my photography subjects for all five years of their lives. Meat is pretty cool with getting his picture taken, and he's certainly a big ham (like his father). Sophie, on the other hand, will tolerate my ridiculous photo ideas for a very short period of time, and she'll make sure I know she's not particularly thrilled about it. I feel it's also important to say that they absolutely love wearing clothes. They have a collection of sweaters, a few scarves, some ridiculous hats and several Halloween costumes. Those things don't phase them at all. Sophie even gets a wiggle butt when it's time to put on a sweater or her jammies.
I know, I probably am coming off like a real crazy person. And that's okay. I don't mind, because I know most people are quite fond of my dogs too - even if they haven't met them. I know it's not just me! I mean, I don't think it's possible to look at their wrinkly faces and NOT fall in love with them. You just can't. They're the cutest. Every year we have some sort of birthday party for them, whether it's just us or a play party with their BFF (my friend's sweet rescue pittie, since her birthday is just five days before Meat and Sophie's)...
