I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t just waiting for Megan and Angie’s wedding day to come. I’ve known Megan for what seems like forever - we’re practically family. To know she’s found someone as great as Angie to share her life with makes me so beyond happy. Seeing how they interacted during their engagement session was everything - their personalities mesh so well together and I think you can see from the pictures just how in love they are and how comfortable they are with each other….

Taylor and James' Summer Engagement Session in German Village and Schiller Park in Columbus, Ohio

One of the best parts of my job is getting to explore new places. When Taylor and James asked if I would be willing to travel to Columbus (where they live) to shoot their engagement session, my fingers couldn't type my response fast enough! German Village in Columbus, Ohio is one of those gorgeous, swoon-worthy places that I've been dying to photograph at. It has a romantic quality to it and is certainly fitting for an engagement session! We also explored Schiller park. One thing they didn't warn me about is how many dogs would be running around the park. It was like I entered the mecca for good and friendly dogs. If you know me, you know how much I love dogs. I took every ounce of my being to not pet every single one but needless to say, I was in heaven! Fortunately for me, I didn't seem like a crazy person because Taylor and James both love dogs, too :]…

I fall in love with Lake Erie every time I'm there. There are a few particular lakes around here that hold such great memories for me and Lake Erie is one of them. Getting to photograph there combines so many great things for me, so I was over the moon excited when Chelsea mentioned Headlands Beach State Park in Mentor, Ohio. No, I'd never been there before but I absolutely love a good adventure with my couples!
